Enrico Poli is an Award Winning Director member of the Italian Director’s Guild ( AIR3 ). Born in Bologna (Italy) he moved to Milan to study Graphic Design (BA, Politecnico di Milano). After graduating, he enrolled for an MA in Visual Arts at the IUAV (Venice), where he was introduced to the art of filmmaking. He's based in London since 2011.
In 2012 he shot his first short film with title 'La Salita' ('The Climb'), starring Marco Palvetti (Gomorra). Since then he has written and directed several short films, short documentaries and commercials. Throughout the years, he developed an aesthetic that naturally lead him to Fashion Film.
In 2017 his fashion film, 'MONO-Y', was awarded as Best New Italian Fashion Film at Fashion Film Festival Milano. In 2018 he was awarded as Best Director at London Fashion Film Festival for 'Not(e) for a Dreamer. Both films have also been officially selected by the most prestigious Fashion Film Festivals across the World.
Enrico's last short fiction film, The Future, was awarded with the first prize at Visioni Italiane 2017 in the category ‘Visioni Acquatiche’.
He is currently developing the script of his first feature film.
